Giveaways, Weddings and Collaborations...

Raspberry Tea Cosy
The prizes for my next giveaway have been decided. I had the help of my facebook fans, which was great and so much fun! So, in the general category, there will be a medium-sized Raspberry tea cosy, with matching mug/cup cosies.

Example of Lacy Doll Sweater/Cardigan

In the dolly category, I will make a lacy sweater/cardigan with a coordinating headband and ballerina Mary Jane shoes. I will make several so that the winner can pick a colour from a selection. The rest will then be listed in the shop. Ohhh...I am so excited!

I am currently working on getting some of my newborn items photographed, such as diaper covers and newborn hats. This is something I have been wanting to do for ages, so it's a wonderful opportunity to allow people to see how my newborn creations will look when worn. I think it's particularly important for those designs I sell patterns for. Sometimes a visual representation is so much better, and easier, than trying to describe it. So, I am now working collaboratively with a lovely lady who brings models and boutiques together. She has found a very talented photographer who has a gorgeous newborn baby who will take some photos for me. I will announce more details once all the ties are tied and everything is formalised. This is so exciting for me! This is my first time to go down this route. I really hope it works out. As they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and if this works out, everyone involved will have so much to gain. It will be win-win-win all the way!

Tomorrow is the 29th of April 2011, the date of the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton (or Catherine, as we're supposed to be calling her now!). Kate is stunning. I think she will be one of the most beautiful royals in history. In honour of this event, I will be making a wedding themed tea cosy. Hopefully I will be able to list it tomorrow, on the big day! I won't make it a promise, because I hate breaking promises! Lol.. :-)
